Fun and Rollercoasters!

Friday we played 2 shows in one night. Well, I wasn't at the first one (acoustic at Hot Topic), but everyone else was. Thanks to Hot Topic and the Lower Paxton Youth Center for having us and to all of the cool people who stuck around to watch. We wound up the evening over 2-for-$20 deals at Crapplebee's, which was awesome.

Saturday Emi and I spent 11 hours at Hersheypark riding rollercoasters until we had headaches. And we ate ice cream for dinner. It was the best.

Hey, ever wondered how to start your own band and be way better than Hello Hawk? Wonder no more.

And if you wanna record some songs, come to Decapolis Labs Recording Studio, and I'll make you sound awesome!

Love,
Christopher!

Hey everyone!

This Friday (tomorrow (Sept 18th, 2009)), we're going to pack much rock into one day as is humanly possible!!!

That's right, dudes and dudettes, you have TWO opportunities to feel the rock as delivered to your faces by Hello Hawk!

New song (almost), new music!

In the words of Paula Deen, "Hey-yaawwl!" Toph here with a news nugget and some fun links. First off: In the next few days we'll be releasing another new song. It's almost done. In fact, a few songs are almost done, and we'll be releasing them all soon. So keep your earholes peeled.

While you're waiting ever so patiently, you should virtually stroll on over to Quote Unquote Records. Hello Hawk doesn't have any kind of affiliation with them, other than my own personal respect. Every release is digital-only, and you pay only what you want to pay (starting at $0.00 if you're so inclined). It's all kinds of awesome, and you should check it out. I highly recommend releases by Shinobu and Cheeky. I also recommend donating to the bands you like.

That's it for now! Have a good Tuesday!

Toph!

The Feast of Songs

Well, would you look at that... We have a website. We're still working to make it far more awesome, but this is a good start. Other pages are planned and in the works, but none of them are finished. Someday they'll be ready. Someday.

In the meantime, we've got songs. Delicious, tantalizing, free-to-download songs. And soon there will be more. Many more. A cornucopia of songs, really. Before long, hellohawk.com will become a Thanksgiving meal of music, and you can gorge yourself on hot, fresh melodies, tender, juicy guitars, thick and creamy basslines, sweet and tasty synth parts, and satisfyingly succulent drum beats. And just like Pilgrims baking that first pumpkin pie for their friends the Indians, we'll be cooking up our musical sustenance in a spirit of love and friendship and with no intention of killing you and stealing the land you've lived on for hundreds of years. Yep, just like those Pilgrims.

So enjoy all of the music as we put it up (expect a song or two every couple of weeks). You should be able to download it (for free) on this site or listen/download (still free) at mySpace, thesixtyone.com, PureVolume, last.fm, facebook, youtube, virb, and any other digital domain on which we can stake our claim. Also: be on the lookout for t-shirts and stickers and buttons and all of that good stuff. But most of all, COME SEE US AT A SHOW!

Love,
Toph!
