Appetite for Destruction

So last weekend, we took a trip out to Dubois, PA for a show at the Edgewood Family Fun Center - a totally old school roller rink. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to skate during the show for fear of someone crashing into the band.
Before the show, we thought it would be a good idea to make a stop at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, PA. Jill saw the restaurant on one of those Food Network shows about eating challenges. The Pub was featured because of its contest in which a single patron must eat the massive burger of their choice within a certain time limit. They offer hamburgers ranging from a half pound to 100 pounds. Seriously. Check it out!
We opted for the 6 lb burger. Since we all shared the burger, this wasn't an official Denny's Beer Barrel Pub sanctioned challenge, but we had something to prove to ourselves. That we could gorge ourselves on 6 lbs of meat.
Update!

Howdy!
We have been super lazy since our Philly/NYC adventure last weekend. We haven't practiced, and we haven't really done anything at all.
I am working on a video blog that pretty much sums up our trip. I would look for that within the next few days. I'll post it right here!
We did get t-shirts and buttons in last week. We are hopefully going to set up an online store so the masses can purchase the shirts. I don't think we have a price set for the items, but we will let you all know when we reach an agreement. We have regular t-shirts and women's cut shirts. Both types of shirts are sweatshop free and pretty awesome.
While we were being lazy we managed to book some shows, which we have posted in the show section of the website. We're also trying to book some fun acoustic shows at the area Hot Topics, because we love hanging out with everyone.
Uhh... fun fact: Eric loves the Black Eyed Peas song entitled, "I Gotta Feelin'" or something along those lings.
Love,
Jill
P.s. Thank you to anyone who saw us in Philly or Brooklyn! We had a great time!
Hello Hawk does Philly and NYC! Hello Hawk makes t-shirts too!

Hola amigos,
I just wanted to let you all know of our upcoming adventure to The City of Brotherly Love and to The Big Apple (Philadelphia and New York City).
On Friday we are playing in Philly at Doc Watson's Pub with an extremely eclectic bunch of bands (including a hip-hop band and and acoustic singer-songwriter). It should make for an awesome evening.
Howdy guys and gals!

Howdy everyone!
I decided I should probably try to figure out how to update this website, so I figured that I would start by posting a blog. :]
Things have been pretty awesome for us Hello Hawkians. We've been playing bunches of shows, working on new songs, and getting some merch designed.
This weekend is the first weekend in quite some time that we haven't had any type of "band" stuff going on, and to be completely honest with you, I am super bored.
To try and spare myself from complete boredom, I watched a "Wife Swap" marathon this afternoon on "Lifetime."
I have pretty much decided that "Wife Swap" is probably the suckiest reality show that someone could be on. I mean, what can be worse than a crazy mom who dresses up in Medieval clothing, who is a total flake, coming into your home and making you eat parsnip stew? Pretty much nothing except for someone (or something) pooping on your head.
Also, fun fact: I have had Chipotle 3 days in a row... and 2 days it was free.
Stay Classy!

Weezer goodness for your downloading pleasure

Toph! here again. We just finished up the mixing on a new song, and we are proud to present to you Hello Hawk's cover of a rare Weezer nugget.
Way back in 1996 Weezer released the album Pinkerton, one of my 3 favorite albums of all time and a fave of both Eric and RegularSteve. "I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams" is a b-side from the Australian version of "The Good Life" single and one of my favorite Weezer songs. (It's sung by Rachel Haden of The Rentals/that dog./Jimmy Eat World/etc. fame.)
Anyway, enough trivia. Here's the song for you to love: I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams
(Feel free to add it to your mySpace profile and vote for us on thesixtyone.com)
