I first came across Jesse's blog, I Found This Song in the Road while doing a search for "hello hawk." And yes, I Google myself and my band quite a bit... wait, what?
Uh, so anywayz... here's that post about Hello Hawk:

Since I first found his blog, I've been checking in on it every once in a while to see what new band he's posted about. Here are a couple of my favorites so far:

Hello Hawk Needs a New Lead Singer
Posted on Dec 30, 2009 at 10:57 PM by
I'm sorry to announce that Jill will be leaving the band. We're sad to see her go. She's a great person and a great friend and we wish her the best for the future (she's actually leaving the band to pursue her dream of traveling through time (in a delorean)). And no matter what happens, we'll always have Roburrito's.
So... that means we need a new lead singer. Here's a breakdown of what we're looking for:
Christmastastic!

Christmas is 2 days away, and I am pumped. I've been listening to Christmas music since before Thanksgiving (sorry!), and I am ready. Well, I haven't bought any presents yet. But mentally and physically I am prepared for this holiday. I've been working out, and I can now finish almost 2 entire canned hams and 3 fruitcakes in one sitting.
We have a Christmas song, but unfortunately we've been too busy to actually finish it and record it. Our bad. It'll be finished and released way before next Christmas, though, so don't lose any sleep over it. As a sneak peak, I'll tell you that it is called "Warmest Holiday Wishes (To You and Your Abominable Heart)". So let your mind conjure up whatever you think that song might sound like.
Coming up in 2010 we have the following: a new EP (!), new merch, a new album (!!), and many shows. No we're not kidding. In the meantime, here's a bounty of Christmas and other holiday treats to entertain you while you get down to holiday business (whichever holiday may be your fave). Enjoy! Click "read more" to get your presents!
I told Eric I wouldn't post this.

First off, go get our newest downloadable song -- our tender ode to a ridiculous turn of phrase, "Heart of Hearts." a shout out to my homey-G-funk-boyz in Shady Ave. who we played with in DuBois (doo-boyz, not doo-bwah) on Saturday. Good dudes, and we hope to see them again in the near future. Thanks also to American Complex and Born Empty for being cool and to The Fostered for sharing our love of the Get Up Kids. Good times were had.
Other things: We have t-shirts. And they are awesome. And they are sweatshop-free. And they are CHEAP. Come to a show and buy one and make your little sister jealous. Or buy it for her and make her promise not to tell your parents what she saw you and your friends doing on Thursday night.
We're about to put out an EP. More on that when it happens.
Now the important thing I need to discuss with you: Weezer.
