Hello Hawk Needs a New Lead Singer

I'm sorry to announce that Jill will be leaving the band. We're sad to see her go. She's a great person and a great friend and we wish her the best for the future (she's actually leaving the band to pursue her dream of traveling through time (in a delorean)). And no matter what happens, we'll always have Roburrito's.

So... that means we need a new lead singer. Here's a breakdown of what we're looking for:

  • Be a lady. Sorry, no dudes. I provide more than enough testosterone for the whole band.
  • Age: 18-29
  • Live in the central PA area - Harrisburg, Carlisle, York, Lancaster, etc.
  • Have a strong confident voice - as in Jill Ambrose formerly of Hello Hawk, Hayley Williams of Paramore or Karen O of the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs.
  • Willingness to work HARD to promote the band. We do a lot of self promotion and it works best if everyone helps out.
  • Have good stage presence - or at least be willing to work at it. Our shows are a lot like an episode of the Sonny and Cher show. There's some music, some sketch comedy, and inevitably some crying... usually from Steve and/or the audience.
  • Be available nights and weekends. We practice twice a week and play shows on the weekend (although sometimes some mid-week shows pop up).

Previous band experience is a plus, but not necessary. We have a lot of shows coming up and are looking for someone who can jump in and learn the songs right away. We are currently writing songs for a full length album that we plan to record with the new singer.

We work hard, but we have a lot of fun - and sometimes we eat very large cheeseburgers.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Hey, you guys are always fun, good luck with the singer search, or, Emi, just get back up there?!

If you ever need beer, I'll be there... To throw it at you!

Hey guys, I meet all of those requirements except I'm not 18. ): I'm really looking for a great band to play with and I'm available almost everyday. (we'll have to work something out) I have been singing since I was able to talk and I love singing and performing. My stage presence is amazing. I'm fun and corky, but I still have a serious side and I like to get things done. Music is my passion and I've already had a lot of chances to pursue my dream of becoming a singer. By the way, I prefer to be called Mandy instead of Amanda, thanks. Sorry that I don't meet the age requirement. I hope you can look past that, or maybe help by finding a younger band somehow. Anyways, have a great day. God Bless!
-Mandy
